RECALL UPDATE
Earlier today a list of teachers identified for possible recall was posted on the CMSD website under Board Docs. The list was posted with no notice to the CTU and much to our surprise. Usually, when the CMSD Board does recalls the Board goes in Executive Session and when they return – a list of recalls is handed out to the people that are at the Board Meeting. Posting the list on the CMSD website has never happened before.
Tonight’s meeting was a Special Board Meeting. There was only one Resolution on the agenda with the intention of being voted on and that was a resolution to put a levy on the November ballot. The other resolutions, including the recall Resolution were for discussion only.
The Board did not vote to make any recalls tonight. The resolution for recall will likely be presented for a vote at the next Board Meeting which is on July 31.
The Board did unanimously approve a Resolution to place a 15 mil, 4 year levy on the November ballot.
