ELECTION 2012 – WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE

There is little doubt in anyone’s mind that it will be Ohio that elects the next President.  As important as that race is – there are other critical races on the ballot.  The race for Sherrod Brown’s Senate seat, Betty Sutton’s Congressional seat, Yvette McGhee Brown’s Supreme Court seat, and numerous state races are critical to the future of Ohioans.  In addition to the Cleveland Levy Issue 107 which is critical for the students and citizens of Cleveland.

In the plethora of political mail that I received – I did find one particularly interesting.  According to data from 2008 Cuyahoga County election results 91% of Republicans vote in down ticket races on the ballot – compared to only 60% of Democrats.  It is critical to make sure that your vote counts in every race from the top of the ticket down.  We know in Ohio how important State House and State Senate seats are for educators, workers, and the middle class.  Please take the list of Cleveland Teachers Union endorsed candidates with you to the polls.

If you havenot voted already – polls are open from 6:30am – 7:30pm on Tuesday.
